Toledo Surprise!

We were in a suburb of Toledo, OH at Bethany's house all of last night and this morning! We got there yesterday afternoon after leaving Dayton, OH and a late breakfast at Denny's. The James' are the friendliest most hospitable people ever! It was so lovely to stay in such a comfortable home the past night. We went shopping at Meijer's, which is a sort of Target in the mid-west, for some things we all needed, came back to the house, had a DELICIOUS dinner filled with great conversation, a mind-blowing dessert (pictured below), and watched Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves (which I fell asleep during :/).

The house is on a beautiful lake in a beautiful community and they have the cutest dog and a really cute cat... even though I kept having to shoo the latter away (allergies). And Bethany's parents are just thee nicest people. We had the most divine breakfast and then headed out to do a show in Brighton, Michigan and then to an EconoLodge in Kalamazoo, MI (what a fabulous city name).

After our show today in Brighton, MI we had a lovely lunch at a great Italian restaurant in the city's downtown with Bethany's family who came to see the show (Shout out to all of them!). We then drove 2 hours out to Kalamazoo, where we are now in the hotel. The moment we got here, we all decided that the next thing we should do is get Dairy Queen, which in fact was a brilliant choice. I got an amazing Midnight Truffle Blizzard. Basically chocolate ice cream with truffles mixed in... to die for. We also passed by Godfather's Pizza, a place that Stephen knows very well as the home of the Cinnamon Strudel Pie, which I have just tasted and is literally a slice of heaven.
